
A woman named Rahimat Salaum has allegedly killed her husband in the Pegi area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday. She stated that the woman was arrested by operatives of the Command attached to Pegi Police Division on Monday, July 29, 2024.
Josephine explained that the woman was attempting to flee with her husband’s belongings when police operatives apprehended her. During interrogation, Rahimat confessed to killing her husband after a disagreement.
“She subsequently led the police operatives to an uncompleted building where she had dumped the gruesomely burned body,” said Adeh.
The Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, assured that justice would be served. He also urged residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.
