Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that the wedding ring he gave to his fiancée, Chioma, is valued at the equivalent of two or three Rolls-Royce cars.
Earlier this month, Davido announced that he and Chioma would be tying the knot in Lagos on June 25. The revelation came in a video posted on Instagram on Friday by businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest.
In the video, Cubana Chief Priest praised the couple, who were seated in a car, and encouraged Chioma to display her ring.
In the caption, he emphasized that the wedding would be an intimate gathering of close friends and family.
“We’re rolling in a Rolls-Royce. A Yoruba man steps out and says, ‘I am coming down to Imo to pick an amazing fruit,’ and it’s happening,” Cubana said.
“They fought it. They tried to stop it. They did everything possible to end it, but the will of God prevailed.”
Responding to Cubana’s remarks, Davido commented, “That is two, three Rolls-Royces right there,” referring to the cost of Chioma’s ring.
