These initiatives form a crucial part of the administration’s comprehensive agenda to foster an enabling learning environment and build human capital across the state.
Ongoing and Completed Education Projects in Ikere LGA:
Government College, Ikere-Ekiti: Complete renovation of the boys’ hostel has been executed, creating a conducive residential environment for students and promoting academic excellence.
Ilupeju Community Nursery and Primary School: Renovation of three classroom blocks has been completed, alongside the installation of a motorised borehole to ensure clean and reliable water supply for pupils and staff.
St. Gabriel Nursery and Primary School: Construction of three new classrooms with attached offices has expanded the school’s infrastructure and increased access to basic education.
L.A Nursery and Primary School: Two classrooms have been renovated to provide safer and more engaging spaces for early learners.
Community Pilot Nursery and Primary School, Oke Osun: Three classrooms and an administrative office have been fully renovated, enhancing both learning and school management processes.
Eleyo High School: A holistic infrastructural upgrade has been implemented. Renovated facilities include the classrooms block, school hall, science block, library, community block, Amigun building, corpers’ lodge, ICT block, sickbay, SUBEB building, and technical workshop.
Irepodun High School: Renovation works are ongoing, targeting five classrooms and the administrative office. Additional facilities under development include a rehabilitated school hall, VIP toilet, borehole, and overhead water tank for improved sanitation and hygiene.
Government Special School for the Blind, Ikere-Ekiti: A new examination hall has been constructed, the girls’ hostel has undergone renovation, and modern e-library equipment has been acquired, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive and equitable education.
These projects are part of a wider effort to revamp infrastructure in over 200 schools across Ekiti State. The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology is closely monitoring implementation to ensure compliance with standards and sustainability of educational development.
