
The Federal Government has announced that Monday, June 17th, and Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, will be public holidays in celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.
Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, announced on behalf of the Federal Government, extending congratulations to all Muslim faithful both within the country and abroad.
This information was conveyed in a statement signed by Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo encouraged the Muslim community to embrace the values of peace, kindness, and sacrifice as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).
He also urged them to use this period to pray for the unity, prosperity, and stability of the nation.
The Minister reiterated the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to ensuring the safety and security of all Nigerians.
He wished the Muslim community a joyous Eid-ul-Adha celebration and urged all Nigerians to contribute to creating a prosperous future for the next generation.
