The Federal Government has announced that the next phase of recruitment for the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Federal Fire Service will commence in August.

Ja’afaru Ahmed, Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja.

Ahmed stated that the Board will conclude the recruitment exercise, originally slated to end on June 15, 2024, before the end of September.

He assured that all shortlisted candidates will be informed of the next steps through their provided contact details.

Apologizing for the delay caused by recent manpower audits across the services under the Board, Ahmed said, “The board wishes to apologise for its inability to complete the process by 15th June 2024, as earlier intended.”
