The Ogun State Government has announced that full flight operations will officially commence at the Gateway International Airport, Iperu-Ilishan, on October 7th, 2025.
This milestone will begin with direct commercial flights between Ogun and Abuja, operated by ValueJet, one of Nigeria’s fast-growing aviation companies.
Under this schedule, flights from Gateway International Airport (GWI) will take off every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30 a.m., while return flights from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja, will depart on the same days at 4:00 p.m..
Tickets for these inaugural operations became available from Thursday, September 25th, 2025, through online booking platforms, accredited travel agents, and ticket desks at the airport.
The commencement of flights at Gateway International Airport represents a major step in Ogun State’s vision to position itself as Nigeria’s emerging hub for modern aviation, commerce, and industrial growth.
Beyond strengthening connectivity between Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory, this development is set to boost economic activities, attract investors, and ease business and leisure travel for residents and visitors alike.
