The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for candidates who participated in the supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted on June 21 and 22, 2024.

JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, made the announcement in a statement released in Abuja on Friday.

According to JAMB, 28,835 candidates who were unable to complete biometric verification during the main 2024 UTME participated in the supplementary exam.

Additionally, the supplementary exam included students who were given a second chance after being suspected of examination misconduct during the main UTME.

“The exercise, which recorded a huge success nationwide, was marked by heightened security measures put in place by the board to prevent any examination infractions,” the statement read.

“As such, some individuals who attempted to impersonate legitimate candidates were apprehended and handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation and prosecution.”

JAMB emphasized its commitment to ensuring that no candidate benefits from any acts of irregularity through the deployment of advanced technology before, during, and after examinations.

The board urged candidates to avoid engaging in any form of irregularity during their exams.

Furthermore, JAMB warned against soliciting score upgrades from fraudsters or altering result sheets to create fraudulent documents with higher scores.

Candidates can check their supplementary UTME results by texting UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number they used to obtain their profile codes during registration.
