President Bola Tinubu has praised Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director General of the World Trade Organization, as a brilliant woman and a worthy ambassador for Nigeria.
Tinubu’s commendation came in a message congratulating the former Nigerian Finance Minister on her 70th birthday.
Tinubu highlighted Okonjo-Iweala’s exemplary grit, diligence, and brilliance, qualities that he believes Nigerians are known for.
In a statement released by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, the president celebrated the WTO DG and her family on this significant milestone.
The statement read, “President Tinubu extols the former Minister of Finance for her service to the nation and her efforts towards building resilient institutions.
The President also commends the Director-General of the World Trade Organization for being a worthy ambassador of Nigeria, exemplifying the grit, diligence, and brilliance that Nigerians are known for.”
President Tinubu concluded by praying for many more years of good health for Dr. Okonjo-Iweala and her family.
