A well-known crossdresser, widely recognized as ‘Abuja Area Mama,’ has been discovered dead in the Banex area of Wuse II in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The body, whose full name is still unknown, was found along the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway on Thursday morning.
Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, confirmed the death and stated that Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, has mandated a thorough and discreet investigation into the case.
Adeh explained that police operatives, responding to a distress call, transported the deceased to Maitama District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctors.
