
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has announced a donation of N427.7 million to 4,277 members of Batch B Stream 1 of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployed in the state.

The announcement was made during the closing ceremony of the orientation camp earlier today, Tuesday, July 16.
In addition, Governor Sanwo-Olu pledged N100 million to support the NYSC and its staff, with a promise to approve N5 billion for the construction of a permanent orientation camp.

He also committed to offering automatic employment into the civil service for 100 corps members upon completion of their service year.

Addressing the corps members, the Governor urged them to embody the values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork that they learned during their three-week orientation course.

He emphasized the importance of their role in promoting national unity and encouraged them to actively engage with local communities and contribute meaningfully to development projects.
Governor Sanwo-Olu concluded by expressing confidence in the corps members’ ability to utilize their newly acquired skills and perspectives to make positive impacts as they commence their service assignments.
