A fire broke out at the palace of Gidan Rumfa, where Muhammadu Lamido Sanusi, the 16th Emir of Kano, resides.
The incident, reportedly caused by unidentified individuals on Friday night around 11 pm, severely affected the palace at Kofar Kudu. According to sources, the blaze destroyed the throne, air conditioners, and other valuable items.
Dan Buram Kano, Chief of Staff to Emir Sanusi, confirmed the incident, assuring that there were no casualties and minimal damage occurred at the outer court of the palace.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire and prevent future incidents.
