President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has announced new appointments to the Governing Councils and Boards of various Federal Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education across the country.

Among those appointed are former Oyo State Deputy Governor Rauf Olaniyan, ex-Minister Bayo Shittu, and former House of Representatives member Hon. Dapo Lam Adesina.

Other appointees from Oyo State include former Assembly Speaker and Minority Leader of the 9th Assembly, Rt. Hon. Asimiyu Alarape, Hon. Abass Aleshinloye, Ajimobi, and Wasiu Ajimobi.

The Permanent Secretary of General Services, Nnamdi Maurice, announced these appointments on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) in a press statement released on Friday, June 14.

Olaniyan has been appointed as the Board Chairman of the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo. Shittu will serve as the Board Chairman of King David Umahi University of Medical Sciences in Ebonyi State.

Adesina has been appointed a member of Adeyemi Federal University of Education in Ondo State, while Alarape will be a member of the Federal College of Education in Ondo.

Aleshinloye will join the Akaanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic in Ebonyi, and Wasiu Ajimobi has been appointed to the Federal Polytechnic in Kabo, Kano State.
