
President Bola Tinubu has given his nod to the appointment of Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, effective from August 14, 2024.
Prior to this appointment, Walson-Jack served as the permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education and has held the position of Federal Permanent Secretary since 2017, accumulating experience across various ministries.
The announcement was made in a statement on Wednesday by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President, titled ‘President Tinubu Appoints New Head of Civil Service of the Federation.’
“The new appointee will assume the role from the current Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, CFR, who is set to retire on August 13, 2024.
President Tinubu commends the outgoing Head of Service for her leadership and charges the incoming Head of Service to execute her responsibilities with innovative thinking, integrity, and strict adherence to the established rules and regulations of the Civil Service of the Federation,” the statement read.
