Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, recently emphasized the vital role traditional rulers play in national stability during a meeting with the Council of Southern Traditional Rulers.

In a statement shared on X.com on Wednesday, Uzodimma revealed that the delegation, led by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi CFR, visited to discuss collaborative efforts.

According to him, “i firmly believe that traditional rulers play a crucial role in maintaining the stability of our nation, i underscored this while hosting a delegation from the Council of Southern Traditional Rulers, led by Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi CFR, the Ooni of Ife.”

The governor expressed his enthusiasm about the visit, highlighting their shared commitment to fostering stronger ties between the government and traditional institutions.

“Our discussions focused on strategies to enhance cooperation in promoting stability and development across the nation,” Uzodimma noted.

He encouraged the traditional rulers to continue their invaluable contributions and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. “I assured them of the government’s unwavering support because, together, we can achieve a more unified and prosperous society.”
