The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suffered a setback in its plan to use Mapo Hall in Ibadan for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign rally.

The request by the party to use the venue was turned down by the Ibadan Local Governments Properties Company, which cited a prior booking by other applicants as the reason for its decision.
The decision was communicated in a letter signed by Akano Musibau, Principal Executive Officer I of the company.

According to the letter, the proposed date was unavailable because the facility had already been booked.
“I am further directed to inform you that the proposed date is not available based on the fact that it has been booked by other applicants earlier,” the letter stated.
The development leaves the Oyo APC needing to explore alternative arrangements for its planned presidential campaign rally ahead of the 2027 general elections.
