Barely eight days after the burial of Taiwo Adegbodu, tragedy has struck the family once again, as armed robbers reportedly invaded their home, deepening the grief that has trailed his death.
The incident came to light through a 10-minute video shared by his twin brother, Kehinde Adegbodu, who recounted the ordeal with visible distress. He explained that the attackers struck while he was away in Osogbo, leaving his family vulnerable.
According to him, the robbers operated with unsettling calmness, even going as far as placing a phone call in the presence of family members to confirm that he was not at home before proceeding with their operation.
Kehinde disclosed that the intruders made away with his clothes and other personal belongings, describing the attack as both unusual and troubling.
He, however, expressed concern over what he believes may be a deliberate targeting of his family, urging those responsible to desist. Dismissing speculations about hidden wealth, Kehinde clarified that the over ₦41 million donated following his brother’s death had already been utilised primarily for the burial expenses, while the balance was channelled into their ongoing building project.
Appealing emotionally, he urged the perpetrators to allow the family to grieve in peace, insisting that there is neither cash at home nor substantial funds in his bank account to justify such attacks.
