The phone number of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has been harked by scammers, according to a announcement by the Osun government on Tuesday.
The statement, issued by the governor’s spokesman, Olawale Rasheed, urged the public to disregard any communications originating from the hacked number, +234 803 365 7555.
“Please disregard any solicitation from +234 803 365 7555. Appropriate action is ongoing to remedy the situation,” the statement read.
It also assured that authorities are actively investigating the breach and taking measures to secure the Governor’s communication channels.
The public was advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to this incident to the appropriate authorities.
