Pastor Williams Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, has refuted circulating rumours suggesting his relocation to the United Kingdom.
In a statement posted on the Facebook page of Cross River State Deeper Life, Pastor Kumuyi addressed the misleading speculation.
“You must have read that I relocated to the UK,” he stated, questioning the validity of the claim. “Did I relocate?”
Clarifying the situation, Pastor Kumuyi explained that he had traveled for a crusade and conference, which due to time differences, could not be broadcast live back home.
He emphasized that his recent travels included preaching engagements across various countries in the United Arab Emirates.
Following his extensive travels, Pastor Kumuyi took time to rest, which led to the erroneous belief that he had permanently moved.
He expressed surprise over the extent of the rumours, recounting incidents where letters addressed to the purported UK branch of the church were mistakenly sent to him.
Addressing his congregation, Pastor Kumuyi urged them to remain steadfast and not be misled by false information designed to undermine their faith. He reassured them, “I did not relocate anywhere.”
The pastor cautioned against believing such falsehoods, urging vigilance against those who seek to sow discord.
He affirmed his commitment to his ministry and congregation, dismissing claims of relocation as baseless.
