Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has appointed Dr. Olufolake Olomojobi as the new Head of Service in the State Civil Service.
Dr. Olomojobi, who was previously the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, will succeed Engr. Sunday Komolafe. Komolafe is set to retire from the State Civil Service on July 1, 2024, after completing 35 years of service.
Dr. Olomojobi’s appointment will take effect from Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Governor Oyebanji expressed his appreciation for Engr. Sunday Komolafe’s dedicated service, acknowledging his resourcefulness, professionalism, and administrative skills, which have significantly enhanced the performance of the State Civil Service.
He wished Komolafe success in his future endeavors.
Dr. Olomojobi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from Obafemi Awolowo University (1994), a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Lagos (2000), and an MBA from Ekiti State University (2005).
She has also received training in health management from prestigious institutions, including the Royal Institute of Public Health Administration, Harvard University School of Public Health, and the World Bank Institute.
In 2017, she earned a Master of Science in Health Economics, Policy, and Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Dr. Olomojobi began her career in the Ekiti State Civil Service in May 2001 as Assistant Director of Primary Health Care and Disease Control and has since served in various capacities.
She became a Permanent Secretary in 2013, holding positions in several ministries, including Health, Hospital Management Board, Health and Human Services, and Education.
Born on September 20, 1971, Dr. Olomojobi hails from Otun-Ekiti in Moba Local Government Area.
She is a recipient of the National Productivity Centre’s Award of Excellence in Leadership and Productivity and is a member of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).
She also served as the pioneer President of the Ekiti State Medical Women Association of Nigeria (NWAN).
