In a bold move to strengthen grassroots football and enhance technical expertise in the game, Femben Sports International Limited has announced plans to train football coaches, both male and female, in Oyo State.

The specialized training program, focusing on Youth and Grassroots Football Coaching, is part of the organization’s strategic preparation for a major international sports project set to launch in 2026.
According to the company, the initiative aligns with its broader vision to raise the standard of coaching and sports administration in Nigeria, starting from the grassroots level.

Speaking on the forthcoming exercise, the Technical Director and Chief Executive Officer of Femben Sports, Coach Femi Benjamin, described the program as a crucial step in building local capacity and empowering coaches to nurture young talents.
“This training is part of our ongoing commitment to sports development in our darling Pace Setter State,” Coach Benjamin said.
“Our international projects will resume in full capacity by 2026, and we are preparing our key stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations.”
The training will equip participants with modern coaching techniques, player development strategies, sports psychology fundamentals, and effective team management skills. It also seeks to align grassroots coaching standards in Oyo State with international best practices, creating a new generation of coaches capable of producing world-class football talents.
Coach Benjamin, a CAF B License holder, holds both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Coaching Psychology and Sports Management, along with additional qualifications in Sports Business Management. He will personally lead the training, supported by a team of renowned local and international instructors.
Registered in Nigeria and headquartered in Pretoria, South Africa, Femben Sports International Limited has continued to make significant contributions to sports development in Oyo State and beyond.
Its 2025 activity calendar includes a one-week Intensive PrepToPro Football Camp in Oyo, a Mobilization and Awareness Football Competition in collaboration with the Oyo State and Lagos State Primary Health Care Boards, sponsored by UNICEF, and an Inter-Secondary Schools Football Competition in partnership with the Oyo State Ministry of Education.
Coach Benjamin emphasized that these initiatives reflect the company’s commitment to driving sustainable sports development through talent discovery, capacity building, and strategic partnerships.
“Femben Sports International Limited is proud to be a Pace Setter from the Pace Setter State Asiwaju ni wa!” he said.
