The Chairman of the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA), Major Adesagba Adekoya (Rtd), FSS, has received the 2025 Good Leadership Award at the 1st Anniversary Celebration of Melody 100.7 FM, Ibadan.
The award recognises Maj. Adekoya’s outstanding leadership, visionary direction, and steadfast commitment to effective traffic management and public safety across Oyo State.
Since assuming office, OYRTMA under his leadership has recorded notable improvements in professionalism, operational efficiency, and service delivery, contributing to safer roads and improved traffic flow within the state.
Speaking after receiving the award, Maj. Adekoya expressed his appreciation to the organisers, describing the honour as a collective achievement of the entire OYRTMA workforce.
He commended the unity, discipline, and dedication of officers and staff of the agency, noting that their commitment has been central to the authority’s successes.
He also acknowledged Governor Seyi Makinde for the confidence reposed in him, stressing that strict enforcement of the rule of law and effective traffic management remain critical to ensuring the free flow of traffic and boosting economic activities in the state.
The OYRTMA boss was accompanied to the event by top officials of the agency, including the General Manager, Commander Ayoade Adekola; the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mr. Sola Akanmu; and other senior officers.
