The African Action Congress (AAC) Presidential Candidate, Omoyele Sowore has written to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, seeking approval to hold the inauguration of its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, on November 11, 2026.

In a letter dated October 21, 2026, and signed by the party’s National Secretary, Oshiokhue Philip Ikpेम ioghena, the AAC also requested food, drinks and other logistical support for participants at the event.
The party said its request was anchored on the principles of multiparty democracy, political inclusiveness, fairness and equal treatment of political parties.

The AAC reportedly referenced arrangements extended to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for a similar political engagement, arguing that public institutions should serve all Nigerians without partisan discrimination.

The party maintained that equal access to public institutions would demonstrate fairness and strengthen democratic participation.
However, the Presidency had yet to respond to the request as of the time the letter was made public.
The proposed inauguration is part of preparations for the 2027 presidential election, in which AAC intends to field its presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore.
