President Bola Tinubu has approved an uplift grant under the National Construction and Household Support Programme for 3.6 million Nigerian families.
This initiative will deliver N50,000 to 100,000 families in each state for three months, according to presidential spokesman Chief Ajuri Ngelale.
According to him, “to boost agricultural productivity, strengthen the economy by creating opportunities in agriculture, manufacturing, and construction, and provide urgent economic relief for Nigerians, President Bola Tinubu has approved the immediate rollout of the National Construction and Household Support Programme to cover all geo-political zones in the country.”
President Tinubu urged state governors to work together to meet the needs of citizens, emphasizing his willingness to support efforts to alleviate hardship.
“Boosting food production is urgent. The Sokoto-Badagry Highway is crucial as it connects the food belt of the nation, with Badagry being a vital artery for food export.”
“Our states must work together to implement the critical reforms needed to meet the needs of our people.”
We are ready to support you with the mechanization of agricultural processes, high-quality seedlings, and solar-powered irrigation facilities.
“We must produce the food our people eat, create jobs, and generate wealth through exports.
I am prepared to provide the necessary support to achieve these goals. Please consult and report back to my office within seven days,” President Tinubu stated.
