Six people are fighting for their lives after a tragic accident in the Enugada area of Lafenwa, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Thursday night.
According to an eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous, a truck, suspected to have lost control, crashed into a vehicle, a commercial motorcycle, and several pedestrians walking along the roadside, causing severe injuries and fatalities. The incident reportedly occurred around 9 PM.
The eyewitness said, “I think the truck lost control and rammed into a vehicle and a motorcycle, including some pedestrians who were walking by the roadside.”
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, stated that rescue efforts are currently underway.
“There is a fatal road traffic accident at Enugada Lafenwa. The rescue operation is ongoing,” Akinbiyi said.
