The Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni mni has disclosed that the major purpose of organizing football competitions as Public Service Game is to re-unite the State work force.
She stated this during a Football game between the House of Assembly team and the State Education sector team held at the Ikolaba High School, Stadium Agodi-GRA, Ibadan where Education Sector pips Oyo State House of Assembly 1:0.
She said there are lots of hidden talents which the on-going Public Service Game would reveal.
The Head of Service pointed out that the (PSG) platform would provide opportunity for workers to showcase their talents in football.
She said “this game is very interesting, after this tournament we will review it and improve on it the following year till we get the results needed from the game.”
“I saw different State Sectors team practicing before their game. It shows they have passion for the Game, which is very commendable.”
The Chairman of the Sport committee, Mr. Lukman Muraina warned against the use of the machineries, saying that, all players must come to the stadium with their appointment letters.
