Governor Ademola Adeleke paid a working visit to the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, in Abuja to discuss the current state of federal and state roads in Osun and to seek additional federal support for road infrastructure projects.

During the visit, Governor Adeleke, accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Kazeem Akinleye, presented reports highlighting his administration’s multi-billion naira infrastructure initiatives.

These projects include flyovers, road dualization, and the construction of several major roads across the state.

The governor noted that since taking office, his administration has constructed over 150 kilometers of roads, including the implementation of a 1.5-kilometer road construction project in each local government area across Osun State.

He commended the Minister for his bold initiatives in the road sector and provided updates on the progress made on federal roads, which the state has also worked on, seeking further collaboration between the state and the federal government.

In response, Minister Umahi assured Governor Adeleke of the federal government’s support and partnership in managing federal road corridors in Osun State.

He praised the governor’s proactive approach to road infrastructure and reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to addressing the state’s needs in the road sector.
