The Oyo State Government has lauded the benevolence and initiative of the family of the late legal luminary and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Ajibola Olanipekun, as they donated Legal Materials from the rich library of the late SAN.

This was expressed by the Hon. Attorney General of the State and Commissioner for Justice, Honorable Abiodun Aikomo  while receiving the  Law Books and other Legal Materials from the Late (SAN), Olanipekun’s family on Wednesday at the F.R.A Williams Law Library of Oyo State Ministry of Justice Secretariat Ibadan.

Justice Aikomo applauded the family of the deceased for their benevolence towards the Ministry, and Oyo State in general, noting that the legal materials donated are essential to the practice of the law profession.

He therefore encouraged other Well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the Olanipekun’s family in giving back to the society.

Earlier at the historical event,the wife of the late legal luminary, Alhaja Khadijat Joke Olanipekun while handling over the law tools alongside other family members mentioned  that the materials will be of immense impacts and benefits to the present and future legal professionals.

Amongst the dignitaries present at the event was Alhaja Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, who in her  remarks stated that “though the passage of the deceased was over 20 years, yet, his good deeds immortalized him and refreshed the  society of his memories”.

Senator Sumonu therefore advised everyone  to reflect on what their legacies will be afterwards.

Prayer was offered for the entire family of the deceased
