On Friday, armed men kidnapped the Managing Director of Fouani Company, which represents LG and Hisense, along with three Lebanese nationals while they were traveling by boat in Lagos, according to PUNCH Online reports.
The victims, whose names have not yet been confirmed, were abducted near Falomo Bridge while traveling from Apapa to Victoria Island.
A source familiar with the incident, who requested anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the case, revealed that the kidnappers have demanded a ransom.
“Yesterday evening, the Managing Director of Fouani Company (LG and Hisense) and three Lebanese were kidnapped around Falomo Bridge while traveling from Apapa to Victoria Island by boat.
The kidnappers have asked for $1.5 million,” the source stated.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, saying, “Yes, it is true. We received the report and are investigating it.
I cannot provide more details at this time.”When asked for further information, including the names of the abducted individuals, Hundeyin declined to give additional details, emphasizing that the investigation is ongoing.
